The Real Housewife of Nigeria is a collection of true stories from a former full-time working, mom of two, whose American life took a small detour to Nigeria for a new project with her husband and his company.

It’s like Emily in Paris, except its Brittany in Nigeria. The differences between the show and this Substack can be summarized like this:

  • Less fashion, more pollution

  • Less French, more “pardon my French”

  • Less Eiffel Tower views, more Lagos traffic. So. Much. Traffic.

In my happy place: Giraffe Manor, Kenya, 2025 Sidenote: THIS IS FROM A VACATION AND IS NOT WHERE WE LIVE!

Hi, it’s Me, Brittany, the real housewife of Nigeria. I can offer you a peak into my tears, frustrations and laughter as I learn how to live in a different continent, country and culture. From language barriers (despite the country claiming English as the official language), to Malaria, to corrupt government officials, the challenges are real.
